The Origin Story
The idea for this journey mapping resource was born the way many good ones are — over mountain biking and beers.
Michael Hinshaw, Founder and President of McorpCX and co-creator of the Experience Operating System (XOS), and Vivek Bhaskaran, Founder and CEO of QuestionPro, had worked in adjacent spaces for years.
Both were founding members of the Institute for Journey Management. Both believed journeys should be the organizing principle for modern organizations. And both saw that companies were struggling to operationalize customer centricity in a sustainable way.
They realized something simple but powerful: deep functional journey expertise + enterprise-grade technology + AI-driven insight = a new way to drive growth, efficiency, and loyalty.
